A skydiver and a mother-of-two have died in a bizarre skydiving accident, Oklahoma police and her family have said. The Glasgow 44-year-old was skydiving alone when she began spinning uncontrollably and was unable to recover, witnesses told police, according to a Facebook post from Sallisach Police Station.
Her parachute was fully deployed, but she couldn't stop spinning before she hit the ground. Glasgow was injured on Saturday afternoon, February 18, while parachuting at Sallisaw City Airport, police said. She was transported to Northeastern Health System Sequoyah, where she passed away shortly after 8 p.m.

She previously participated in a tandem skydive and attended two jumping lessons for the first time at the Adventure Skydive Center, police said. The department is investigating the incident in collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Oklahoma Office of the Medical Examiner.
Family and friends shared their tribute to Glasgow on social media. "Heaven received another angel today," Jason Glasgow, Heather Glasgow's cousin, wrote on Facebook. “The world is a poorer place without her. She lived fearlessly and set an example of never giving up and never giving up on one's dreams."
"Pray for our family, especially her mother, sisters, and two children," Heather Glasgow's aunt, Betty Glasgow Howse, wrote in a Facebook post. "It was an incredible shock." Sallisaw is located about 160 miles east of Oklahoma City.
