Investigators originally reported that Prince George County resident Cameron Taylor Cole was last seen alive on April 28 in Chester, Virginia. Cole, the father of a newborn baby, delivered food for DoorDash in addition to his job at Amazon.
When Cameron was later unable to see his mother on April 28 without explanation, family members became concerned about his well-being. According to his relatives, he was scheduled to meet his mother later that evening after delivering packages for DoorDash earlier that day.
However, he never did. He has since turned off his phone. His family claimed that the lack of communication with them did not suit him. "Cameron has numerous tattoos," read the missing person's notice. It can operate a dark gray 2016 Honda Civic EX with a sunroof and a Virginia TXB5401 license plate.
Late last week, Mike Cole, Cameron's father, expressed concern that he might receive a call asking him to identify his son's body. According to WTVR, he stated, "My worst worry is that someone jumped on him and I'm going to get this call to identify him. "You shouldn't ask that of a father. I just need to know what happened. I will never stop looking for him.
Authorities said Xavier Brown, 22, Demond Williams, 39, and Isabelle Battle, 19, were found Wednesday with Cole's stolen vehicle as detectives investigated the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Christopher Tyler, although it's still unclear what caused Cole's death.
Battle is charged with grand larceny, and Brown and Williams are accused of conspiring to murder Tyler. A misunderstanding led to a fatal shooting in a Richmond gas station parking lot. Tyler tried to escape after being shot in the SUV but crashed into a cement truck instead.
According to police, Williams and Battle were the first to be arrested. After allegedly attempting to flee the area on foot, Brown was arrested. There are reportedly more charges pending, but as of Monday morning, it was unclear if those charges were related to Cole's murder. According to local reports, the suspects in possession of Cole's stolen car will be the subject of at least one of the charges, which are still pending.
