A Florida woman who allegedly murdered and dismembered a 25-year-old man last February physically assaulted her lawyer during a court hearing. In a video obtained by ABC 7, 25-year-old Taylor Schabusiness attacks her attorney Quinn Jolly in a Brown County courtroom. He tries to stop her when a nearby deputy steps in and manages to knock Schabusiness to the ground.
He tries to free himself from it by moving backward and then wrapping his legs around his helper. Two more officers enter and then Schabusiness is seen sitting against the wall before the officers led her away. More officers were called to the courtroom during the altercation, WBAY's ABC branch reported. The officer said through the scanner, "They need code three in branch two, fighting Schabusiness." Later, Schabusiness asked what happened, and the agents told him, "You got mad at your lawyer, Taylor. You went crazy with your lawyer. ”, according to WBAY.

Prior to the attack, Jolly asked the judge for a two-week extension of his expert opinion. The judge decided to adjourn the hearing until May, and Tuesday's jurisdiction hearing was rescheduled for March 6, the start date of Schabusiness's trial, WBAY reported. Jolly's law firm, Brabazon Law Office, LLC, informs PEOPLE that, for legal reasons, they are unable to make a statement regarding the incident.
According to WHBY, Jolly has requested to withdraw from the case. Schabusiness, who was previously charged with first-degree willful manslaughter, mutilation of a corpse, and third-degree sexual assault, will plead not guilty by reason of insanity, according to NBC 26 in northeast Wisconsin. She had several assessments to see if she was mentally ready for the trial.
At around 3am on February 23, 2022, police responded to the call after Shad Thyrion's mother discovered her son's severed head in a bucket in the basement. From a criminal complaint received by PEOPLE at the time, it appears that the police found Schabusiness at her home, where she had dried blood on her clothes. They also allegedly located a crate of clay pots in her truck containing, the complaint claimed, "additional human body parts, including legs."

Upon returning to Thyrion's mother's residence, police found her head and "male organ" in her bucket and, in a separate storage bag, her upper torso. They also recovered the knives. According to a purported account by Schabusiness, police say Thyrion was strangled before her body was mutilated.
She allegedly told police that she had not intended to kill him, but enjoyed strangulation and continued to do so, according to the complaint. "Schabusiness responded that the police would have fun trying to find all the organs while dismembering the body," according to the complaint, which adds: "Schabusiness claimed that he used knives he obtained from the residence's kitchen and that the bread knife worked better with a serrated blade.”
"The alleged facts are extremely disturbing and relate to the serious and violent nature of the crime," Assistant District Attorney Caleb Saunders told the court last year; the Schabusiness bonus WBAY-TV reported that the price was set at $2 million in cash. In his obituary, Tyrion was described as someone who "liked camping, playing, and spending time with his family. He was a very kind and compassionate man who often thought of others before him."
