The rising artist is best known for his hit song "Murder on My Mind" and has collaborated with Kayne West and Kodak Black. Cortlen Henry, Melly's best friend, arrived at a hospital in the Miami region in October 2018 and said his buddies were injured in a drive-by shooting. He claimed they were bleeding out in his car, the rapper's arrest statement states.
Anthony Williams, 21, and Christopher Thomas, 19, were discovered by paramedics and detectives with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. They both left. During the February 2018 Parkland School shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, it was alleged that former school resource officer Scot Peterson had not received active marksmanship training. Peterson is currently on trial for this crime.
Peterson is charged with seven counts of child neglect, three of culpable negligence, and one of perjury. According to him and his defense team, the former "dedicated officer" did nothing wrong. The state continues to interview witnesses, most of whom were Parkland survivors, on the day of the fatal shooting to provide jurors with first-hand accounts. The trial is due to end in August.
