A 12-year-old girl has been charged with the fatal stabbing of her nine-year-old brother Zander Lyda at their home in Oklahoma, according to police body camera evidence. April Lyda, the brothers' mother, told authorities she was sleeping upstairs when her daughter woke her up just before midnight to inform her that she had stabbed Zander.
Police did not release the name of the girl who cried and profusely apologized as she approached a residence in downtown Tulsa on January 5. The girl was immediately taken to the hospital and put under anesthesia around 2:30 am ct, and died as a result of his injuries. A girl runs down the stairs screaming "Sorry" at the beginning of the edited footage obtained by The Law & Crime Network. I'm so sorry.

Lyda shows up at the door and reports that the boy stabbed the girl in the chest as the cops remove the girl from the house. "Mom, I'm so sorry," the girl replies. I have no idea what happened. The girl, who is now in handcuffs, is directing police to a knife she reportedly threw out the window after she stabbed her brother.
The child asks about going to jail after being in the police vehicle and the officer tries to reassure her by saying it's too early to tell. "I ruined my life," she confesses. I completely destroyed my future. It's all my fault. At one point, the girl says what appears to be a prayer, begging God for help.
He asks if handcuffs are required while still in the car. I'm a decent boy. Given the circumstances of the meeting, the officer informs her that he is. After that, the police station receives the recording and the officer there takes pictures of the girl's hands and arms.
When Lyda is later questioned by the police, she claims that her daughter has never behaved violently before. "I just don't understand why she would be so angry at him, especially before bedtime," she explains. You wonder what goes through a 12-year-old boy's head, one of the policemen says to the other as they talk at the end of the video.
